The MPF Program Announces Phase 3 Implementation of the Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset (ULDD)

Effective Date: May 20, 2019

In September 2018, MPF Announcement 2018-44 was published and advised PFIs that an updated ULDD version (Phase 3) would become effective in May 2019.  As a reminder, effective May 20, 2019, PFIs delivering loans for MPF Xtra or via “batch” for MPF Traditional and Government MBS, will be required to submit loan data formatted to the updated ULDD Phase 3 XML file. Please note, additional “batch” data delivery requirements for all products remain the same. 

Please see the following link for additional details on the upcoming ULDD XML file: MPF Data Resources.  This includes the updated Detailed Reference List document which outlines the required or conditionally required ULDD Phase 3 fields.

Currently, PFIs may submit loan data in either the Phase 2 or Phase 3 format; however, loans delivered on or after May 20, 2019, need to be submitted in the Phase 3 format.

Suggested steps for PFIs to follow:

Discuss readiness with your LOS Vendor to ensure

• their adoption of this phase of the ULDD update and to make sure they can comply with the mandatory deadline of May 20, 2019.
• Determine any training needs and technology support that may be needed within your organization for the upcoming changes. Begin to prioritize and develop a plan to support the changes.

Watch for future Announcements regarding updates to the “batch” submission process and data delivery requirements.
